Hello my wonderful students. Today I wanted to introduce for you the importance of the Multiple Intelligence Theory (MLT). Do you ever wonder why some teachers can't teach you? It's not because of their lack of the subject knowledge; maybe they don't know how you learn the best. Do you know how you learn the best? Well MLT was discovered by a person named Howard Gardner. It was under his belief that many people learned differently and he discovered 8 different categories under which people learn. You may not belong to just one category. It is possible to learn with a combination of a few. I want you to discover what sounds like the category or categories you feel you belong in. Your job is to Google Multiple Learning Theory; discover the categories in detail. Tell us what category or categories you feel you learn best under. Every teacher can't teach to that category, but you can take responsibility to your learning by using this category. You will find a video at the bottom to help you to understand the importance of each intelligence. Please type at a minimum 10 sentences to journal about what you found on MLT and or the video.
The category that I fell taht i teach best under is self smart, people smart and body smart. It is good that there is different categories because then the kids will be able to take responsibility. The teachers really arent able to teach to everyones category. The reason they ususally do that is to help the kids who dont categorize themselves. The categories really help the student out because then they can know where they are at, and they can take action on where they are the strongest and the weakest. Some further research shows that, The theory of multiple intelligences was proposed by Howard Gardner in his 1983 book Frames of Mind: "The Theory of Multiple Intelligences" as a model of intelligence that differentiates it into specific (primarily sensory) "modalities", rather than seeing it as dominated by a single general ability. It also divides the inteligence into different categories. Gardner seperated the theory into 8 groups. Existential which he later added to the group had to do with the spirit and religious affairs. This is what I think about the mutiple inteligence theory
ReplyDeletethe categorys that i fall into are body smart becouse I have played sports ever since I was little and have enjoyed it my whole life.Another catagory i fall into is people smart becouse i can talk to people like nothing without getting nervous, accept when i try to talk to girls then i get all nervous.

Another category that i fall into would be music smart becouse i can realy under stand the messege in most music videos. The same goes with picture smart, i can understand a deeper meaning when it comes to art. I can appreaciate what it takes when you try to make art. I am also good when it comes to reading and writing becouse english is my favorite subject, that is why i can also go into the logic smart category.I can also be a naturalist becouse I realy care about the envirement,and i also can help with anything when it comes to the envierment. I belive that one day humanitys waste will be the end of the world and people will have no one to blame but themseves. These are the categoreys that i beleive i fall into.
DeleteThe category i fit in, would be people smart,self smart, and body smart.Its pretty cool how diffrent people learn. Also it could be a pain to most. Mainly because teachers who are doing there best to teach makes it difficult on both of the student and teacher. Teachers could struggle in helping that one student but yet fail, students could do their best to understand but yet fail also. Then again, its cool because of finding new things of people. Like through music, students could make a teaching in music lyrics that could help them remember. Through photos, students can relate it to a family picture or a picture of their favorite. Its pretty amazing how the mind works. Especially through little changes or simple music. This relates to basically everything from jobs and education and religion.
ReplyDeleteAfter my research I have concluded that I am 6 of the above "learning types". The only two I find I am not attuned with is "Kinesthetic learning" and "Intrapersonal learning", one could however argue that being a master of video games proves ones reaction time and/or dexterity. I consider myself a very empathetic person, I care about how my friends feel and if there seems to be a problem with them I will confront them about it and ask if they wish to speak. I am linguistic smart because as a young child I read novels for fun, since that fact I have acquired a vast vocabulary that I have been told is that of a college student. Ever since I can remember I have loved logic, still today I am a logical man this is partially the cause of my agnosticism; My favorite subjects in school are Math and Science which just so happen to be the most logical of the subjects, excluding history because history is "fact". I would agree that I also fall into the "Nature smart" category because once again as a young child I was always interested in animals and the creatures that roamed the Earth, most notably the creatures that dare the depths of the ocean, I am interested in even the animal species that don't even "exist" yet, more so not that they don't exist but what we have yet to see doesn't exist, much in the case of aliens. I am not a very creative person in my eyes, never been a fan of drawing but I do in fact learn very much by pictures and am able to visualize readings in my head when the author uses imagery. I also fall into the "music smart" category, seeing as I am in choir as we speak, and the common comment that I have "an amazing singing voice" not only by my fellow peers but I have received that complement from the choir instructor as well (I say this in the most humble way possible). Indeed I do not fall in only one of the categories listed in the "MLT?" (MIT? Multiple Intelligence Theory?") in reality I happen to fall under 6 of the 8, that is unless you consider having great gaming skills kinesthetic skill, in which case I am 7 of the 8. Nonetheless this was a learning experience for me as it was for you Mr. Salazar, and I thank you for allowing me to learn something about myself while also telling you about myself.

DeleteThe category I fit in will be Bodily-Kinesthetic and Interpersonal out of the other eight. I'm an athletic person and I have noticed I learn better when I'm running or just shooting baskets.It also helps me relieve stress or get away from any problems I may have. It is how I learn plays faster when I am moving around instead of just standing there or sitting down. I fit in Interpersonal because I like to work in groups. It helps me learn faster. I can see different answers and perspectives of other people. It brings a conclusion faster when you are solving a problem as a group. Someone might know what you don't know about the problem and yiou guys can talk it out and get a really good answer. It is how most scientists find cures or how teams win games. They communicate and pull through their obstacles.

I believe this is my worst trait. In the ones I fit into, I don’t like the fact that I have to question everything. Nothing is ever a good enough answer for me. I’m not good with religion but I believe in god and that he makes things really hard since I’m told I should not question things. God is God and he made everything.

I have always been able to speak my mind very easily and describe exactly how I feel. I actually want to be a writer and maybe major in English. I have always been ahead in that category. It just comes naturally to me.

I know what I am thinking, I know how to describe it, I know what I want to do, and I know what I can do. There are many people who have problems knowing themselves and connecting to their own emotions. I guess I am a lucky one who already knows. I think that is where the Linguistic intelligence comes in knowing how to say things and jot them down. Connecting to myself is the best thing I have to offer I believe.
I don’t think any of the rest I fit into I’m not physically inclined what so ever. Music is great but I don’t think I’m very good at it. Well those are the categories I fall under.
-The two categories that i fit in will be the self smart and music smart.Why those two? well because i study the way that makes it easier for me.If a teacher tells me to learn a specific way and i see that im not going to be able to capture it then i find a easier way.A teacher its going to teach us what he knows and it depends on us if we want to become better by capturing what they teach us.Every student its not the same,some want to achieve in life and others just want to do what is easier for them.Music smart its just an amazing way to study people may think its a hard way but if you just let your mind to work it out its way aesier than what you think.Some of my old teachers actually spend some extra time on me and help me out by making short songs with lirycs of the subject.When they started teaching me that it just made it easier for me, now thats what i do sometimes for the star tests.I've herd a guy rapping for a health class and if you actually paid attention on what he was saying.It said all the things that the teacher was teaching us for the past 2 weeks.I was surprised because if you really put effort in it you will succed and people takes it as if it was a waste of time.They say that we shouldnt be stressing out to much for school because then our minds start thinking about a lot of things and you start loosing it and specially for college stydents.But i say if you really have a good interest for school and you really want to achieve in life with your goals that you have in mind.I say keep up the work and dont let nobody slow you down or change your mind.Those are my two categories for me that makes me succed in school and im pretty sure i have more i've just havent experienced them clearly.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking over Multiple Intelligence chart i have come to a conclusion, that I have six learning types. The two that I don't see myself in are Spatial and Linguistic. But when i really look at the chart my strongest learning types are Bodily-Kinesthetic and Interpersonal. I'm a very athletic person I always make sure I take care of my body so I can perform at my best. See Cross Country and Track requires me be Body smart (Bodily-Kinesthetic) and People smart (Interpersonal. Your always meeting new people and have to be very aware of your competition. But you have to be willing to learn from other runners. Every meet I learn something form I older runner like a senior they always tell me to keep running and training. That's why you must be people smart and willing to learn for others. That is why when i look at the chart I see that my strongest categories are People smart and Body smart.
ReplyDeleteThe Category i fit best is interpersonal and intrapersonal. i like to work by my self and i like to work with other people. sometimes i fell that i do best working by myself and some other times i fell that i do better with a team that i can rely on. The video was very inspiring because he talked about so many things that are true. for example, he said that we can work on things for an hour and fells like it was 5 minutes. but in other cases you work for 5 minutes and it felt like an hour. doing things you like will get you places. if you don't want to go anywhere, do what your teachers tell you. because they want you to do what they did. sometimes what they did was good but sometimes you have the capability to do more. you don't have to be smart about everything. you don't have to go to college to become what you want, there is in occasions when you do have to do those things to become what you want but not all the time. you can become a part of the army and not go to college for it. i try to help myself and the people around me when i can. not because i have to but because i have that felling to do it. its a great opportunity to start what you like at a young age so you know what you will become when you grow older. iv'e met people that are already very elderly and they still do what they did when there were younger. maybe not as fast or as best as when they had the strength to but they still do it because they have a passion for it. i have a passion for technology and i like to learn new things about it daily or when i can, because that is what interest me. not what my teacher tell me to do. i do what i like.
ReplyDeleteI fit in a lot of these categories. I personally think I am the best at self smart, people, smart , word smart, and logic smart. I can listen to the teacher and understand. The teacher can give me an assignment written down and I can do that assignment without questions majority of the times. The thing that keeps me from learning easy is the distraction from other students or people. People smart is okay , when I work in groups, I depend on my group mates to do an assignment or get their job done. The disadvantage of that is when you rely too much on them and the group ends up failing. I like to work by myself on assignments sometimes, but other times I like to work together as a group because I do not understand an assignment well. Picture smart is also good, if I don’t understand a word or explanation or an assignment, I need a picture to give me a clue or understand. So like I feel best at Self smart picture smart, people smart, and word smart. So far my learning has been good just those minor interruptions .

DeleteI think I am four out of eight in these category . Because I think I am body smart and picture smart and people smart. Because in school I like to collaborate with other people to see things in different ways. I also think I am body smart because when I am playing basketball I learn by doing a play. If my coach told me to drop to the paint when a center is there I know next time when he goes there I have to drop and play defense. I also believe that I am picture smart .say If had to build a fan I would look at the instructions and know what to do .
ReplyDeletei think im a Interpersonal someone that has a ability to communicate effectively with other people and to be able to develop relationships. like when am in a relationship i attend to coomunicate with my partner amd see if thers anything that we can agree on. most people dont have that kind of ability they just want to be in charge of things.when they are in there relationship it wont have no coomunication no so whatever. so people need to sit down communicate effectivelt with other people to see what they approve on with there relationships and if they needed help with other things as well.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion i think i would most likely be 3 of the 8 categories. Logic smart, music smart, and people smart those are the ones that would most likely describe me. I tend to listen to alot of music and i personally learn alot from what i listen to. It may seem strange but its really easy for me to learn from a book when im listening to music because i dont feel as distracted. I think i fit into the logic catagory because i like puzzles and alot of things that have to deal with strategy. It amuses me and i dont mind it at all even though im not a big math person i still like what it offers at tinmes. Im really a social person and i get along with alot of people. Working in groups to get assignments done is a really big thing for me. I believe that you can learn alot from another person and that's another way i can learn very well. Over all i think being people smart is a really good habbit to have.
ReplyDeleteThe Category i best fit in is probably nature.This area has to do with nurturing and relating information to one’s natural surroundings.Examples include classifying natural forms such as animal and plant species and rocks and mountain types. This ability was clearly of value in our evolutionary past as hunters, gatherers, and farmers I love to be outdoors.The fresh air,the cute squrriels,and those annoying birds sometimes.But thats what nature is all about.And if we are outdoors learning something i would for sure pay attention.But i can not be outside when its super duper hot it gets me frustraed.
ReplyDeleteI think I am three out of the eight multiple intelligence theory that describe me. The first one that would describe me would be bodily. The reason I picked this one is because I learn better if I learn steps with the words that someone is trying to teach me because that way I can remember the steps and the words at the same time because it will stick to me and since I like to dance it helps me more. Another theory that would describe me would be verbal linguistic. I pick this one because I like to express to other people what’s on my mind and help them out so that whenever I ever need help I know that I can count on them to help me. Also this describes me because I sometimes like to write what I think and stuff like that. Another theory that describes me would be intrapersonal. I picked this one also because it describes who I am and where I want to be. Also because I know the goals that I have set for myself and how I am going to achieve them. Another reason why I choose this was because I know what I want to do when I graduate and everything else. These are these are the three that I think describe me the most.

People with a high musical intelligence normally have good pitch and may even have absolute pitch, and are able to sing, play musical instruments, and compose music. Since there is a strong auditory component to this intelligence, those who are strongest in it may learn best via lecture. They will sometimes use songs or rhythms to learn. They have sensitivity to rhythm, pitch, meter, tone, melody or timbre.Music also makes you concentrate more.
ReplyDeleteI fit into four of the eight categories of Multiple Intelligence Theory. The first one is Intrapersonal, I feel like I can learn better when I’m working alone, I do like working in groups but I tend to get distracted and don’t finish my work. And working alone not only can you finish your work but you’ll understand better because you’re paying attention to the teacher without getting distracted. The second one I fit into is Bodily, since I like to dance; it makes it easier for me to learn faster, for example I’m in dance class, we’re learning a dance for the football game, we started just today and I already know all the moves just by dancing and listening, so it makes it easier for me by moving around. The third one is Musical, I play the guitar and I’m learning myself but I wouldn’t know how to do it if I didn’t see the person on YouTube playing it, what I mean is that I watched his fingers how they played each chord and then I tried it. I also know how to sing, I’m not an expert but if I listen carefully to a song for the first time by the second time I already know how the beat goes and I can sing along. The last one is Verbal; I can read a book and remember what it’s about. If a friend told me a secret or told me anything I can reassure that I know exactly when and what they said, and sometimes I do forgot but if the person reminds me, it pops right back into my head. Also if the teacher says something like we’re going to have a test in two days, it stays in my head until that day, I still remember the time I graduated 5th grade, the small gathering my parents organized, I remember what I wore and what my friends wore that day. Anyways everyone in the world fit into different categories, and they all have something others don’t have.

For those trying to understand themselves better, these ideas can be soothing and.Knowledge is not the same as morality, but we need to understand if we are to avoid past mistakes and move in productive directions. An important part of that understanding is knowing who we are and what we can do. Ultimately, we must synthesize our understandings for ourselves.It's not about multilingualism, though some people have a talent for learning other languages.those who can win arguments or inspire others with words, or those who can learn well from ideas expressed in words are all showing linguistic intelligence.

DeleteAfter reading about the multiple intelligence theory. I have determined I am spatial,interpersonal,body and intrapersonal smart. Ever since elemtary I have always been more of a hands on type of student. I never liked just watching the students do all the work. I would always volunteer to help the teacher with anything. Intead of just sitting down half asleep in class. Another type of learning that helps me remember is looking at a picture. If i read a book about Texas. Ill know about it but i wont be able to come up with any visual representation. I could see a labeled map and bam. I would remember all 50 states and there geographical featoures. By working in groups I have always been able to remember the material the past day. I have always been able to find a fun thing in any group when i work with them. I can find a way to make a boring subject exciting and entertaning. By playing a game like 20 questions world history,or how much of an itme i have in math. Im pretty sure I explained why I fit in those 4 categories. If not let me know.

Word smart because I can do work or any type of project with just a set of instructions. I can also spell and speak very proper. Logic smart because of the fact that i like to do challenging and harder work. I do this to test myself I constantly try different puzzles, riddles etc. Lastly musically smart, I am able to read music very easily. It really comes as no challange to look at a page of sheet music and tell the notes right away. That is why I am able to play violin, guitar and piano. that is why these are the three that really describe me and my learning experiences and how i do learn easier.

Another reason I am a self-smart person is because since I’m on my own I have more concentration and less distractions. The other category I am sometimes best at is being people-smart. The reason I fit the category is because I sometimes have those topics I don’t understand on my own and need other peoples help to complete the assignment. I fit this category because it sometimes helps me to hear other people’s thoughts about the topic and I begin to think in another way other than mine. The last category I best fit into is word-smart. I best fit in this category because I like to know the definitions of the words and once I understand that I can just apply the definition to the sentence or topic and I am then able to understand what everything is about. Another reason I fall under this category is because once I write down the word and the definition I remember the word best. This is why I best fall under these three categories.

ReplyDeleteThe categories I would fit into would visual spatial, verbal linguistic, and bodily kinesthetic. The visual spatial would be because be seeing/watching how things work or move helps learn better, I would have to see like for example when I’m getting a definition of thing or animal I would have to see the picture of that thing if someone explains it I would understand it but not as much as seeing it. Another way I learn better would be verbal linguistic because if I read something of a book I can memorize what that book said like a date or something because it’s like having proof of that person or subject I’m reading about . And the last category would be bodily kinesthetic because let’s say that someone is trying to show me some steps of a dance routine if he explains it would be hard to get if he is just explaining me and not showing me, he would have to show me the steps of the routine. But one problem I have is that if I’m learning something I can’t do it by myself that person that is showing me would have to do it with me too, like he can’t show me the steps and then tell me to show him we have to do it at the same time so that I can learn.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes down to learning I’m best at learning when I’m with other people discussing the topic it just tends to stay engraved in my head that’s why I consider myself people smart. For example at my jobs they are times we’re I have to go up to random people and try to sell them the attraction at my job when everybody knows it’s a junk. It takes people skills to sell people junk and make it seem like gold. Also when it comes down to learning about picture skills I have a way of just picturing the image and what it said in my head so picture learning is a very helpful way of learning . self-smart is something I’m not I just can’t look at a paper and just picture myself remembering what it said maybe other people can but not me . After that there’s music skills no I cannot read music but it’s a very weird way to learn well I think so lol. All what it takes to be word smart is just to read books and learn new vocabulary and I believe I have a good word choice when it comes down to writing. Then there’s logic smart know that just takes common sense and clearly I got that, that’s why I have always passed my math test every year .

im understand but i think not every one have a perfect body or music the perfect music is diferent but i undersant the idea principal at society the everyone think for the people smart and is true the people smart is reservad and have difernt personalites and the relationship with people smart is not good because has a difernt opinions in the world music everithink is diferent the music is other what like but is logic the music at people smart and the interesting and i think the people smart is to the kids everyone is smart but have the difernt likes in the wold and the life not omly the smart .
ReplyDeletenaturalist is not one of mine , i have to be self smart i have to be on task with my work and keep learining more im better off studying and learning more by working hard when i do look at visuals it does make me remember easier i just look back at the visual and remeber what we were working on and remind me of all this concept with just pictures im probably just like 2 out of 8 about the multiple intelligence theory and im also really good when we work like in groups its make it easier and also helps me in a better way of learning, people that are just naturally smart have a talent but not me i have to be in a working ethic and thats how i learn better.
ReplyDeleteThe category I would fit in, would be body smart because that’s one of the things I’m good and dedicate my time to. Its something not everybody likes doing you need positive attitude and tell your self you could do it.. witch that’s something not everybody does and likes. I don’t know what I would do with out sports. I like to stay active and healthy and do something that would help me in my future. For example cross country is a very difficult sport. My friends and people around me tell me “you shouldn’t do that sport its boring and its just so much running”. They just don’t know how much it takes to just go out there and practice to get better and be notice by the crowd. That’s why people have to realize you go out there to play any sport but you play and do your sport with your heart. However body smart could help anybody to stay healthy, and have a better life. Just live those dreams and become who you want to be.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the multiple intelligence theory I have come to the conclusion that I fit best in 3 out of the 8 different categories. The fisrt one is bodily-kinesthetic. In oder for me to learn effectively I have to physically take part in an activity that corresponds to what is being taught. The second learning style is visual-spatial. I have noticed I remeber things when they are highlighted or underlined with different colors. The colors catch my attention and I am more likely to remember what I highlighted than something else that was not highlighted. Lastly Inrapersonal. I learn better while interacting with others because I feel with all of our ideas coming together when can get the work done better than what it would be like individually.
ReplyDeleteThe catergory that best fits me would be music smart, self smart, and picture smart. I say music smart only because I learn more when it involves music. Music is really entertaining to me and helps me focus alot more. Althoug most people listen to music alot of them dont listen to the lyrics. The lyrics are so important to listen to because if you dont know the lyrics then you dont know what youre listening to.I also included self smart because when it comes to working I feel like I work better when I work by myself then with partners.Picture smart also fits me because since I have a really good memory. Having a good memory help me remember pictures, and if someone asks me about a picture I saw I would be able to answer it in many ways describing it.I would absoultely love if all my test and exams were with pictures. I think having these three abilities are great because using them all together turns out great!

ReplyDeleteeducationis something we need to know we must have it its not evil or bad it dosnt make us lose our course minds. education only helps if anything if we didnt have it then we would be like the people doing dumb thing not knowing what could happen but with education we do know what could happen, so why say it not importent lol like if we didnt know what was techongly then how would we have the iphone or smart phones lol SMARTphones!!!!! who would of made life beeter if we didnt have education? yes we dont need education to make any of these smart ideas but we do in education to know how to make thesae smart ideas come ture lol
Interpersonal intelligence is concerned with the capacity to understand the intentions, motivations and desires of other people. It allows people to work effectively with others. Educators, salespeople, religious and political leaders and counselors all need a well-developed interpersonal intelligence. I believe I fit under the interpersonal intelligence because I can understand where people are coming from most of the time. If someone needs someone to talk to I can be there for them. I’m not saying that I would like to be an educator or anything but I can help people out. I can sit down and listen to someone tell me anything and not mind or get bored. I try my best to give people or family the best information they need. I probably could be a salesperson. I would probably be louder but I don’t mind. I just like to talk to people once I get to know them.
ReplyDeleteThe Catergory I would fit in is probably music(musical), people(inetrpersonal), and, pictue(spatial) smart. Just because im not much of the others, maybe logic smart. Music smart I would say but only on some of this hip hop stuff. Like whats happens with these hio hop groups. TDE & Pro Era groups like those. People smart is because I know how some people think and how they react to certain situations. Also. how to meet and greet with people and to properly give handshakes. Im not sure what picture smart is, but I think it means what & how you take the pictures so they can come out better. Personally I like to take pictures,but not just simple pictures. I like them to be in a good angle and good lighting to it. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI find myself to be placed in the in the self-smart, people smart, and on logic smart categories. I agree with the Multiple Intelligence Theory, because everyone is different at learning than others. Some are better at learning in a certain subject and in others they don’t do as well. I also agree on that our education makes our creativity and our ways of having our own unique ideas. Because as go further on our education it gives us the idea that everything has an answer and you have to do it their way and not your own way. I think it is enough to maybe change the education system but the reason it hasn’t had an impact is because it hasn’t reach a good amount of people. The way the current system is affect the minds of kids and making them not finding others ways to solve our problems, instead the way usual way its solved. Due to that we may never know other inventions that could have been made. The Multiple Intelligence Theory has changed many people’s mind on our education and for the future. That is what I think about the Multiple Intelligence Theory.
ReplyDeleteI learn best in three of the eight categories. These would be picture smart, people smart, and music smart. I learn best with a type of independent teaching like when a teacher individually teaches and makes sure I understand the assignment/work. I thought the video was very informative and true teaching does need a revolution not evolution. Students like me don’t always pick up the material that the teacher is telling us about. Other teachers may be a good teacher but it doesn’t mean they can tend to everyone’s questions and I think that’s where the education system is most flawed.
ReplyDeleteIndividual learning is best for me because usually when I have questions i almost never ask any unless a teacher checks on me.
I work very well in groups because we get assignments/work faster and if i need a better understanding i can just ask them and i will learn how to do it so even when i have to work independently I can continue doing the work instead of being lost and just sitting around.
I'm music smart because I usually learn music and music related things quickly and usually I self teach myself.
Lastly I’m picture smart because pictures give me clues, hints, and ideas/instruction on what to do or how to remember something. When I cannot learn something on my own in music I look up tutorials or have someone who knows how to do whatever it is I’m trying to do or learn to teach me.I still need some help even when I learn from myself though.

DeleteI think the best categories that is best fit for me is mostly self smart, people smart, and logic smart. the reason having me to be self smart is because i know somethings i will be able to do like climb trees, jump a distance like how fast do i run and how much force i need in my legs to reach the ledge,one time i was able to climb this 9 ft wall, i starded thinking on how fast do i need to ryn and how much muscle i need to be able to push myself up and grab on to the ledge,after sometime i went for it and im running like not aws fast but fast enough that i need to be able to push my slef i used alot of leg muscle to push myself up and so i streched my arms and i was able to grab on the ledge. now to people smart, is that i can really connect with people, but thats if i want to get to know them and be there friends, i can really talk people, i was able to solv one of my friends tragedy that he had with his friends. i can also help them and give good about themselfes.and now the last category that also fits for me is logic smart, the reason for that is i am able to work more with numbers, mostly why im passing geometry.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading about the multiple intelligences theroy , ive come to agree with the point that everyone has their own way of learning that best suits them. Personally i fit into different catergories of the intelligences at different times , but primarily i am a spatial learner.I find that through visuals comprehention of subjects comes easier and i learn more quickly. Another category of the multiple intellegences i fit into effectivly would be in interpersonal learning.Having someone one on one teach me or to show me how something is done helps alot, although im not one to ask for help constantly being shy and everything, so i guess in that way i also fit into intrapersonal learning. Sometimes sitting down by myself in peace and quiet helps me learn as well.Overall i think attempting to try all the different categories of the intelligences can benifit you greatly , and when you find out how you learn best learning will come exceptionally easier.
ReplyDeleteI fall in categories music & self-smart because i can be smart if i motivate my self. I love music because it helps me get through life day by day. Edcaution is involved with my self-smart & music. I believe that some people that droopped out of school can be " street smart" so school cant always make you smart.Some teachers dont teach me the way i would like because im slower than others and i like doing baby steps. when a teacher teaches me i listen but i have my times where i dont get it. Indivial learning would be good because i like asking alot of questions and that can slow the teacher down. eventually education is gonna get me far through out my life.

Throughout the whole video the most part that had caught my eye was when Ken Robinson was talking about how teachers teach in a way that us (students) don't even pay attention and i kind of agree with that because in my opinion i don't think teachers should follow the curriculum they are supposed follow and how they are supposed to teach us.My thoughts about this is that the curriculum teachers follow is just boring and that's what makes us fail or besides students not listening but that's not the case, what i'm trying to say is that there should be a change in learning we people should make learning more interesting to a point where we actually have fun, it should be somewhat like gym to where we are learning new stuff but in a fun way.Our minds should be more mind blowned towards what adults are trying to explain about certain subject.Everything is different but there is a way in changing it if adults agree with what people like me are trying to say, which i doubt their wouldn't be any adults or other teenagers that would disagree towards what i'm talking about.We need this to have a brighter well educated future for when other students would want to achieve and get better for college and will be a great idea because they would be really prepared and have an amazing job and well stuff like that but these are my thoughts about it so far

DeleteI found out that in MLT there is 9 ways of learning. Which are self-smart, logic smart, music smart, art smart, nature smart, picture smart, people smart, word smart, body smart . Well what categories would I fall into? I just noticed that I fall into two categories which are logic smart and picture smart. Well what is logic smart, Logic smart is a person that’s good at analyzing data and then using that information to solve problems. Also picture smart, it is the ability to think in three dimensions. Everybody is different though some people may just fall into one category, others would fall into all of them.

Everyone in the world has some type of tallent,And those talents can leade to new inventions or maybe something even greater.he also says that we dont have to go to college wright after scholl because maybe our talents can lead us to somethimg biger than college.Our talents give us a type of energy that makes us want to achieve our goals. we also need to share our life long dreams with our parents so they could help us achieve what we can accomplish.

ReplyDeleteI have found out that I am a musical learner because I learn mainly through lecture and music. I also have found out that I am an Interpersonal and intrapersonal because I like to work with others as a group but I also like to work alone sometimes. I think it is a gift to be a musical learner because that means that I can use music to learn. I think musical learning can also be bad because if you just start singing in class you will get in trouble. I like that I can work with others because that way I can make new friends. I also like working alone because some things I can't do with a group or I might just get Claustrophobic and I won't be able to breath. I think that these different learning ways are all good in their own way but everybody is different so it is good that there are a lot of them because I would hate it if everyone learned in the same way.

ReplyDeleteThe one main categorie that i fall in to is self smart.I think it is much easier when i work alone.I think working by myself helps me consentrate anf focus more.I also fall in to the categorie of music.Music puts me in a different place,it relaxes me and just puts me in a very good mood.I would also fall in to the nature category.My sorroundings help me alot with what I do.I feel like if i am in a noisy place i will not really understand or focus on what i am doing.I can relate to only some parts of all 8 categories.IM lookinf forward to trying my best to study and learn every single one of the categories.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking over the Multiple Intelligence chart I have come to a conclusion, that I have 3 learning techniques. One of my strongest learning techniques is Verbal – Linguistic, because I am able to read an assignment that the teacher has handed out and be able to complete it with no questions asked. The second style that I learned on accident is Visual-Spatial. I came upon this technique wen one of my teachers told us to highlight only the important parts of a text, I instantly knew it would be easier to do assignments if I just focused on the important stuff. My third technique is by discussing the topic with otter people because I can share my ideas and see what other people think about them.
ReplyDeleteA couple of these categories I fit in to and relate to would have to be Logical, Musical, Bodily-Kinesthetic, and Intrapersonal. I am good at logical thinking because I am good with reasoning and critical thinking I am also good with numbers and math. So when there is a problem I am able to use my logic to be able to complete and solve the problem. I also go in musical smart somewhat because I have played instruments before and I am able to use the rhythm to keep up with the beat and to make it sound well or I can easily make a beat. I also learn well in Bodily/Kinesthetic intelligence because I love to dance and I have done it for a long time so I am able to understand things more if it involves moving and using my body. So I learn best if it involves movements such as dancing or learning a dance. I also fit into intrapersonal because I have a deep understanding of myself. If I face certain things or even projects I know what my strength and weaknesses are for example I am much better in math rather than I am history. I also go well with visual because if a teacher ever gave me a problem or shows an example I can easily learn from it to complete the rest of the work. Or if I ever have to learn something I am better visualizing with my mind. So these are the categories I believe I fall into or relate to.

The First One I Mostly Relate To Is Musical Because I Think Im A good Singer I may Not Be As Great As A famous Person But How To Get The Pitch Right . I Love Singing When Im At Home Though . AS For Visual I Dont Juge People I Think Others Have There Own Sytle And Personalilty And Im Nice And Funny But More To Myself . I Think People Have Different Type Of There Own Way How They Look , Act And Other Things About Them . For Intarpersonal I Have My Weakness And High Stander To What I Do Know And Dont But Ill End Up Figuring It Out .But I Understand Better With Friends We Than Show Me I Dont Know Im Werid . ReplyDeleteI think I’m music smart because I show sensitivity to rhythm and sound. I love music I study better with music in the background. Listening to music is an everyday thing for me, it’s another way of expressing your feelings. Music can help you memorize. This intelligence enables us to recognize, create, reproduce, and reflect on music. Now a days teachers in all elementary, middle & high school use music for lessons. Interestingly, there is often an affective connection between music and the emotions there are happy , sad & hyper songs. Their isn’t one song that doesn’t say what your feeling. Young adults with this kind of intelligence are usually singing or drumming to themselves. They are usually quite aware of sounds others may miss.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to multiple intelligence categories, only being able to learn or understand by one way could be difficult. Before studying the different intelligence theory I thought there were only two ways to understand a subject, Notes and reading or hands on and paying attention. The ability to understand a subject by different ways helps me a lot. I found that I am an intrapersonal due to the fact that I am aware of my own feelings, motivation, also understand my strengths and weaknesses. I am also a Logical-mathematical because I find it easy to recognize patterns and solve complex problems. I’ve never really struggled in math, I seem to find it quite interesting. Working with numbers and equations will always be a part of your life either in your job or shopping on your own time. I found that I am a Bodily- kinesthetic learner because I love working with my hands. I’ve always been involved in sports and art. Being active and learning things make it more interesting because I can’t seem to fully understand things just by taking notes and listening to somebody lecture about different subjects.

Im music smart because im mostly always listening to music , and it helps me consentrate more when im doing my work and listening to music at the same time i get more stuff done that way. I like to listen to music while im reading to it helps me focus more. I also think im body smart because i love playing soccer and i learn alot for it. I learn from practing all the time and also improving by what i learn. We also practice for how our coach wants us to do for a game. Im was also in cheerleading and i learn diffrent cheers and moves. I wish i was still in it because i had alot of fun being in it and learing new things i didnt know before. I wish i was all these categories but im only two out of eight. Using these categories are useful for me.
ReplyDeleteThe categories I best fit in to have to be Intrapersonal, Interpersonal and Musical. I am Intrapersonal because I like working by myself most of the time. Because if I usually work in a group of people I will most likely get distracted and not give it my all on my work. But if I am working by myself I won’t have any distractions therefore I will probably get things done a lot quicker with a higher performance than having to work with other people. The second one I fit into is Interpersonal. Even though most of the time I prefer working by myself I sometimes like working with other people. Because not always will I know somethings or know how to do them so I will most likely have someone in my group that knows how to do those things and or do something in a different way and have different ideas. I am Music Smart because sometimes in order for me to concentrate is too hear music. Like sometimes I just have to be listening to music to concentrate or else I wouldn’t be able to do the project or assignment.

There is not a day i go without listening to my music.Im also self smart. why? Because i think i work better off alone.I focus more when i dont have anyone else there, making me laugh or just trying to get my attention.Everybody is different in there own way, some people can fall into a different categories than others.Some people take there talent for granted and they dont see that they fall into those categories.Maybe that is what he is telling us, to think about what you are good at and see what fits you the best.

Graphics, charts, photographs, drawings, 3-D modeling, video, videoconferencing, television, multimedia,charts,graphs all are part of visual learning that i feel i can learn from way better than written, or scripted lessons. I can also study better while listening to music or study while there are noises all around without getting distracted, I can learn lessons by reading or listening to lyrics, speaking rhythmically, or tapping out time. Also as a intrapersonal learner i can learn through independent study with various means of creative learning or simply by reading books which i find the most beneficial and entertaining way of learning possible. Reading is also part of the linguistic method of learning which I only use the effective method of reading and/or making up poetry and stories along to music which often makes unintentional songs in the strangest moments.
ReplyDeleteI have found myself to be nature,self,person and music smart.Ive always loved the outdoors,Id spend alot of time with my dad outsidetalking and about and enjoying nature.I also watch alot of animal planet baecause all the animals facinate me.I always enjoyed woring with other people because i feel that if you dont understand something there is always someone who can help.There are times where i need to work alone to help myself,with no ones help i have to depend on my own to move forward and achieve goals.Finally i am good with music.Ive been in mariachi since the 6th grade but i got out my sophomore year.I love it,i played three instruments and was decent at them.I guess thats what i work best with.
ReplyDeleteKen Robinson this guy that is speaking on the video is talking how schools nowadays are just very awkward. He explains that what they asked for kindergarten students should be asked for high school students. The way high schools are just what they are around like fast food just to go get lunch they walk and waste their time just skipping class. What teacher are asking kindergarten students supposed to have on their resumes and Ken Robinson says “they are kindergarten students what are they supposed to have on their applications to go to that kindergarten school”. I think he’s actually right but some of us around here don’t understand what he’s talking about. The reason why students don’t understand him because he’s just boring or just don’t get the vocabulary on what he’s talking about.
ReplyDeleteThe categories I fall under are musical , interpersonal and spatial . One of the reasons im musical is because I love to sing . I can hit the notes most of the time if I try . I was in choir since elementary and I sing infront of my family or at gatherings a lot if they ask me too . I remember music notes and word lyrics really fast . I also play the piano . I find that the harder the music notes it is for me to remember the more I love to learn them . Im also interpersonal , I learn best when being involved with a group or other kids . I most of the time am very distracted with other things during school so that’s why im better off with hands on kind of things . I just feel more understanding of what it means . I get destracted easily if I do work on my own , I don’t know why I either get really tired or just can’t get my mind to stay on what im supposed to be doing . Im spacial too , I like picutres on everything I do . I read better with pictures too , but I mostly like pictures on homework or something I might have to finish at home .
ReplyDeleteI learned about in multiple intelligence Theory music smart is that it teaches you all about the different cultures of music like Mexican and it helps you learn all different new words that you could learn about that in multiple intelligence Theory. People smart teaches you all about the different things the person has to teach you all about and all the different things that you could learn about it that someone could now about in multiple intelligence theory. Word smart teaches you all about the different types of words that someone could teach you all about and different things that you could learn about outside of school not always inside and learn from a friend to. Picture smart teaches you about all about the different types of things and drawings that you could see like almost anywhere like a art teacher could teach you or anyone else can to and learn about it you could learn all new things. Nature smart is about all the different plants and animals that you see all from the outside world which is fun to see and to learn about to nature smart teaches you all new things that no one knows about yet. Logic smart is about the different type of things that you see.

The catagories that I would fall under would be interapersonal because I learn better by doing my own thing. I hate it when a teacher tells me I have to write my notes a certain way because I learn better by organizing my thoughts my own way. I am also interpersomal sometimes because I enjoy working in groups from time to time because I think colaboration is the best asset our generation has at this time. The days of working alone on a theory in your basement have passed, now what people need is what the majority wants like the new screen size for the iphone7 (or whatever generation its up to). And lastly im spatial because you can sit me in front of a monotone teacher and have him talk all day about WW2 and despite my love of history I'll never grasp the information because I learn better by seeing a video about it or having the teacher draw a picture or get enthusiastic about it.I realize everyone learns and oporates differently and that is why we need schools to realize that they cant have a set mold for students. Instead the teachers should be molded as well because if we are expected to be diverse and stand out from the rest how can we accomplish that if we all not only look but think and learn the same way.Let the robots be programed but leave the living to us.
